Earls Kitchen + Bar – Assembly Row

For Earls, art is the “7th ingredient”; an integral component of the design of their restaurants. With corporate headquarters based in Vancouver, Canada and over 50+ locations throughout Canada, Earls approached AK Art during their expansion into the U.S. Not only are we collaborating with their corporate design team to create a contemporary corporate art collection, but we are also aiding their PR and Branding by integrating local artists into their design concept; fostering ties and engaging with the local community.

For this location, Earls wanted something contemporary, edgy with graphic and street elements. Using their aesthetic and space requirements, we thoroughly researched the Boston art scene for art/artists that matched their specifications. After we presented Earls with our research, we decided to commission Boston-based contemporary artist, Ari Hauben to create a piece specifically for the space. He layered different elements including local street signs and buildings along with aesthetic graphics and colors to create the perfect piece for the space that enhanced the aesthetics and also brought in a bit of local culture.
